The Southeast Diesel Collaborative is a voluntary, public-private partnership involving leaders from federal, state and local government, the private sector and other stakeholders in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The Southeast Diesel Collaborative is part of the Environmental Protection Agency's National Clean Diesel Campaign (a program combining regulatory measures with voulntary initiatives to reduce the pollution emitted from diesel engines across the country). The Collaborative is a partnership between leaders from federal, state and local government, the private sector and other stakeholders in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Our goal as the Southeast Diesel Collaborative team is "improve air quality and public health by encouraging the use of clean, renewable energy and technology and by reducing diesel emissions from existing engines and equipment from the agriculture, heavy construction and on-road sectors."
We are able to achieve these goals by:

Encouraging Biofuel use, conserving fuel and achieving independent energy

Installing clean retrofit devices on diesel equipment

Promoting production of crops for biofuel us

Encouraging older engine replacement and repowering and

Analyzing and disseminate best practices to reduce engine idling and properly maintaining equipment
