Public Fleet

The Public Fleet Focus Area encompasses a wide variety of on-road diesel fleets operated by cities, states, and the Federal government.  These fleets are composed of a variety of vehicles, including, but not limited to, waste haulers, school buses, public utilities vehicles as well as light and medium duty trucks.

The overall goal of the Public Fleets Focus area: is to reduce the air quality and community impacts of on-road public fleet vehicles in the southeast by implementing strategies that are economically viable, reduce energy consumption and are sustainable beyond the 2011 time frame without injection of state and federal funding.
