Technology CommitteeThere are many different types of technologies available for reducing emissions from diesel engines. The Technology Committee is dedicated to finding out about new technologies and sharing that information with Southeast Diesel Collaborative partners. Members of this committee may also serve as technical resources for stakeholders interested in pursuing diesel emission reduction projects.
If you are interested in retrofitting a diesel engine with after-treatment technology, or using cleaner fuels, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board administer rigorous testing programs to verify clean diesel technologies. These programs introduce verified technologies to the market as cost effectively as possible, while providing customers with confidence that verified technologies will provide emission reductions as advertised. This verification process will evaluate the emission reduction performance of retrofit technologies, including their durability, and identify engine operating criteria and conditions that must exist for these technologies to achieve those reductions. Participation on the Technology Committee is open to all interested SEDC partners. If you would like to join the Technology Committee, click here.
